Level stroller paths, shade, benches and a cradle swing welcome babies, but no clear baby-changing station or nursing room means carers must bring mats and confirm facilities with the council.

(from 495 reviews)

Positives:

  • Free entry: All playground features and green spaces are free to use.
  • Safe surfaces: Rubber wet-pour surfacing reduces fall risks for babies and toddlers.
  • Accessible access: Flat paths and wide gates make stroller navigation simple.
  • On-site water pump: Fresh water fountain available for cups, rinsing, or quick sips.

Challenges:

  • No baby-changing station: Toilets lack changing tables—bring your own mat and supplies.
  • Coin-operated toilets: Keep small coins handy for public toilet use.
  • No indoor shelter: No covered play or feeding areas in heavy rain—plan accordingly.

Spacious green space with a playground for kids. There's also a mini skatepark inside. The benches look clean and well maintained.

Fenced in park near to the cathedral parking. Great park for kids. The floor is a soft foam, overall a safe place next to a busy road. Some interactive play things like the sand digger and the water pump which is unique and fun for kids. There is also free wifi if you can get on.

Beautiful park to take the kids to. Clean, and well kept. Play ground is very nice with lots to do and see. Keep a few coins handy for the toilet available. Lots of historical places to see and visit around the park. Ducks in the little river. Close to shops like Tesco express.

My kids loved it here. My oldest is obsessed with trains, so the train at the playground was a big hit. We didn’t try the other playground at the park because the toddler section kept my almost 5 and 2 year old completely occupied.
