Positives:

  • Free parking close by: The main lot sits steps from the trailhead and sculpture.
  • Partial stroller access: 200 m paved path works for rugged strollers or carriers.
  • Waterfall without hiking: The platform offers falls views without a long trek.

Challenges:

  • Uneven main trails: Roots and gravel beyond the paved section make standard strollers impractical.
  • No changing tables: Restrooms lack diaper stations; bring a foldable changing pad.
  • Seasonal closures: Toilets close November through April—plan accordingly.

A little treasure just off highway 40 going east! It's hiding, but discovering it was amazing. It is absolutely beautiful. Lovely, well maintained trail follows the river. Scenery never ceases to amaze. Strategic view points take your breath away! So, I was definitely impressed with mother nature, quiet, peaceful, a must to explore!

Visit between May and October when restrooms are open. In spring trails can be muddy. In winter, expect snow and closed facilities. Arrive at dusk for the lighted sculpture.
