What makes it 79% Couple-Friendly: A couple finds romantic lookouts, a waterfall, an illuminated sculpture, and picnic spots at no cost, but trails are dark after sunset and there is no on-site dining or indoor refuge.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Couples can hike to the waterfall, picnic, and catch sunset at the river lookout without rushing.
Hike to Beauport Waterfall:
Follow the 6.5 km loop from Parc Armand-Grenier along the Beauport River to a 10 m waterfall.
Tip: Wear sturdy shoes and carry water; the trail has roots and gravel.
Sunset at river lookout:
Visit the built-in viewpoint near the main parking for expansive river valley views.
Tip: Arrive 30 minutes before sunset to claim a spot and set up your camera.
Birdwatching:
Spot warblers, woodpeckers and ducks in this official birding site.
Tip: Bring binoculars and a simple species guide; early morning is best.
Picnic by the river:
Use the fixed tables near the trailhead restrooms for a riverside meal.
Tip: Pack local cheese, bread and cider for a Quebec-style snack.
Night sculpture photo:
Pose with the illuminated “La vie est belle, Monsieur Drouillard !” sculpture.
Tip: Bring a tripod or use portrait mode on your phone for sharp low-light shots.

Nice riverside trails to hike or ride in the woods that open up to public park places. Nice nature refuge close to the coty

A little treasure just off highway 40 going east! It's hiding, but discovering it was amazing. It is absolutely beautiful. Lovely, well maintained trail follows the river. Scenery never ceases to amaze. Strategic view points take your breath away! So, I was definitely impressed with mother nature, quiet, peaceful, a must to explore!
Trails can be muddy after spring thaw or fall rain; wear waterproof shoes. Restrooms open May to October, 8 a.m.–10 p.m. In winter check trail conditions as snow and ice may block paths.
