What makes it 84% Solo-Friendly: The headland path, benches and 24-hr access let a solo traveler walk, whale-spot, read or meditate safely at no cost. Limited shelter and no café mean you must bring water and snacks.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Allows time for a coastal walk, wildlife spotting and a peaceful journaling session at the lookout.
Mindful Journaling:
Sit on a bench or the grassy headland and write or practice deep breathing.
Tip: Visit at dawn for calm sound of waves and soft light.
Wildlife Spotting:
Scan the ocean for migrating humpback whales and turtles near the rocks.
Tip: Bring binoculars and check the info board for peak seasons.
Coastal Walk or Run:
Follow the Coolum–Point Arkwright boardwalk for quiet ocean views.
Tip: Start early to avoid wind and pause at mosaic lookout platforms.
Sketching or Reading:
Use the timber shelter tables for a shaded creative break.
Tip: Pack a light chair or blanket for extra comfort on the grass.

This view point is amazing!!! I was lucky enough to see a mother and calf whale, don't believe all the reviews around this area I spoke to someone who lived near by and if you want too see turtles head north about 5-10 minutes by foot and there are loads and can snorkel with them!!! Would still recommend this one as it stays quiet and there are a few picnic benches
From May to November watch for humpback whales at sunrise or sunset. Summer afternoons can be windy—opt for early-morning visits.
