What makes it 83% Solo-Friendly: The flat 500 m timber path lets solo visitors jog, meditate and watch wildlife safely, and lighting covers dawn or dusk times, yet scarce shade and no on-deck café limit comfort in harsh weather.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Gives time for a boardwalk run or walk, birdwatching, and a yoga or journaling session.
Boardwalk Run or Walk:
Follow the raised timber path for a flat, safe traffic-free route.
Tip: Start at sunrise or sunset for cooler temperatures and lit boards at dusk.
Birdwatching and Nature Journaling:
Observe rainbow lorikeets and honeyeaters in the reserve bushland under the boardwalk.
Tip: Bring binoculars and a notebook; rest on a bench under the deck to record sightings.
Self-Guided Yoga or Meditation:
Use the quiet deck for stretching or mindfulness with ocean breezes.
Tip: Pack a travel mat; avoid peak sun hours for better shade and comfort.
Guided Photography Workshop:
Join a small-group session to learn coastal landscape and boardwalk vistas.
Tip: Book in advance for Tuesdays and Saturdays; bring a fully charged camera.

I frequently walk down here from Mt Coolum beach access 94. It's a magnificent view of Mt Coolum and the ocean. Easy walk along the boardwalk.

A short 15 minute boardwalk, but some great views of Mount Coolum and the surrounding landscape. Great to take dogs on leash, with the walk being quite flat and suitable for push chairs too.

15 min board walk and you are on the beach. Some nice walking and cycling tracks too. Good view of the mount and nice open beach. Make sure to take cover and sun protection as usual. Better and less crowded beach compared to other super crowded beaches in Sunshine coast.

Must do if you visit Noosa and surrounds!!!Beautiful walk to the beach and fantastic view of Mount Coolum.

Board walk makes beach access available to wheelchairs. Ends in a viewing platform overlooking the beach. Gentle sloping beach, patrolled at times. The elevated board walk through the forest is worth it even without the beach!
From June to October scan the shoreline for migrating whales. In spring (Sept–Nov) look for wildflowers along the path.
