What makes it 79% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly elevators, nursing areas and a changing table welcome infants, yet tight paths, loud crowds and scarce shade can shorten comfort, so come early or off-peak.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time to stroll a section, enjoy the water feature and take breaks with your baby.
Stroll Gansevoort to 14th Street:
Walk this flat, paved section with a stroller.
Tip: Use the Gansevoort Street elevator for easy access and roll along the wide path.
Splash at Diller-von Furstenberg Water Feature:
Let your baby dip toes in the shallow footbath.
Tip: Head to 14th–15th Streets and bring a towel for quick dry-off.
Join Lawn Time on 23rd Street:
Enjoy bubbles, songs and light crafts for ages 0–3
Tip: Check the High Line calendar and arrive early in summer to secure a spot.
Use Family Restrooms and Changing Tables:
Stop at 16th Street or Gansevoort for diaper changes.
Tip: Look for the family restroom signage near the main path.

This is the best part of NYC for me. A previously abandoned above ground railway has been transformed into a park above the streets of downtown Manhattan. They are also growing lots of plants, wild herbs and flowers to bring life and greenery into this corner of the city. It's good to see they're continually expanding it. I especially love being able to sit and read or watch the world go by at the...

One of my favorite walking adventures in NYC! It's beautiful and well maintained. I got on in West village and walked to Hudson yards. I would have kept going if my schedule was more open.

High Line has elevators located at its northern and southern ends, specifically at the Gansevoort Street, 14th Street, 23rd Street, and 30th Street entrances. There are restrooms and benches to sit on throughout the tra...

This is a beautiful walk with nice photo ops and places to rest asking the way. There are sculptures, paintings, and snack stands. Signs along the way give a little bit about what you're looking at. The walk is easy and well maintained. We really enjoyed it.

Highly recommended, especially on weekdays w...
