What makes it 78% Baby-Friendly: Step-free boats, flat paths and baby-change at Tate and Southbank Centre help parents, yet crowded piers, limited onboard change tables and loud cruises may unsettle infants; confirm with operators.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to walk a section of the river, take a boat ride and enjoy a quick show without rushing with a baby.
Pushchair-friendly Thames Path Walk:
A flat, paved 4.3 km route from Tower Bridge to Westminster along the South Bank.
Tip: Start near a Tube station and pause at piers for shade and snacks.
Thames Clipper River Bus:
Frequent river buses with step-free boarding, onboard toilets and baby-change tables.
Tip: Buy a day ticket for unlimited rides; babies travel free.
Puppet Theatre Barge Show:
Marionette performances on a converted barge with allocated seating for easy stroller access.
Tip: Book online early to secure a spot and quick exit routes.
Emirates Air Line Cable Car:
10-minute level-access cabins over the Thames with city landmarks in view.
Tip: Fold your stroller easily and pick a window seat for best views.

City cruise via River Thames in a sunny weather but mildly windy was awesome . We enjoyed the wave to passersby by the bridge. A wonderful way to connect with history . We have an amazing and humorous tour guide .

I went there in June. The architectures on both sides of the river was marvellous. The bridges that the boat crossed was wonderful. The shard, Tower bridge and the big bang were all in sight during the trip. The explanation of the history of the area of river Thames was great too
In spring/summer go early to avoid crowds and use sunshade on deck. In winter book an evening cruise for festive lights and wrap up warm.
