What makes it 66% Couple-Friendly: Couples can buy tickets for evening theatre or sports-screening events and share drinks in the atrium café, yet it is still a functional conference hall, limiting romantic ambience.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Allows time for a live event, a break at the café, and exploring the public foyers.
Attend an evening show:
Watch live comedy, music or theatre events in the Lennox Suite or auditorium.
Tip: Check the EICC website for current listings and book tickets online in advance.
Relax in the central atrium:
Sit by the art installations and people-watch in the spacious foyer.
Tip: Visit during a quieter weekday afternoon to avoid crowds.
Enjoy café refreshments:
Grab hot drinks and pastries at the front-of-house café.
Tip: Try a local blend coffee and a freshly baked pastry; payment by card is accepted.

Came here to watch a rugby match on the big screen. There aren’t nearly enough places to sit in the area, which was large enough for at least a few more seats. Because we couldn’t get seats we also couldn’t order any food and so we just ended up leaving. The food menu has an impressive number of vegetarian options which I was not expecting. That’s my only positive right now from my brief visit.

Definitely a great event venue. Spacious and beautiful! Watched a show “LOLA” there! But felt that the chair was alittle too small. Not exactly very comfortable, but the show was great that it distracted us from the uncomfortable chair. Plenty of toilets.

Attended a 2 day event this weekend and great room and stage. Sound is fab & staff were very polite. I'm very hopeful that next year the food provisions will be significantly increased to process 1800 of us in sufficient time! Thank you team!
During the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August, check EICC’s special fringe events early and secure tickets as soon as they go on sale.
