How Baby-Friendly is Royal Princess Cruises?

Infants ride free and strollers can roll aboard, yet there are no high chairs, diaper tables, or quiet nursing rooms, making the 2-hour cruise manageable only for prepared parents.

Considerations for visiting Royal Princess Cruises (with baby)

Positives:

  • Free infant admission: Babies under 4 travel free on lap with no extra fee
  • Stroller access: You can roll your stroller onboard and park it on deck
  • Safety gear: Infant life-jackets are provided free

Challenges:

  • No baby seats: No high chairs or infant seats—plan to hold baby at table
  • Limited changing facilities: Restrooms lack changing tables; bring a portable pad
  • Crowded buffet lines: Buffet area gets busy—visit early for baby-friendly dishes

Recommended visit duration: 2-3 hours

Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: 2-hour cruise covers key sights without tiring the baby

I had the chance to try a buffet on a cruise here in Bangkok, and the experience was lovely mainly because of the views, which are truly amazing. However, I wasn’t really happy with the food. I went because the buffet was advertised as international, but honestly, the dishes were mostly focused on Asian and Indian cuisine. There were no pork or meat options, which was a big contrast for me since I...

We took trip after sunset. We were at thr 3rd/top floor. It was an amazing experience. The food was a good and a lot. The live music combined with people dancing with joy, the lights of the city in background make it an unforgettable experience. Few advice... book online, go after sunset, try to get top floor, be ready for some wait.

Overall good experience. We booked it via Klook and did not get to choose the seats. But it was comfortable and food was not the best but decent enough. Don’t expect too much. It’s not a dinner focused thing. Enjoy the cruise and sight seeing. Would have been better if they have some announcements on what we are seeing.
