A solo visitor can roam the flat paths, photograph calm water and cliffs, read legend signs, and leave anytime, but seating is sparse and there is no shelter if sudden rain hits.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Gives time to walk the bridge, read legends, enjoy coffee, and catch sunrise or sunset without rushing.

Yongyeon Pond is a beautiful place to kick off our journey in Jeju. It’s a 20-minute walk from Dongmun Market, and so perfect for a leisurely stroll after lunch. We came here on a warm spring day, and the pond was so clean that you could see the bottom of it. You can also get on the suspension bridge and visit Yongduam while you’re here.

I was there probably right after the floods so the water was very dirty; however, its not a reason for the 4 stars. When I was there it didn't really give me the feeling of awe but you have to see it for yourself. I hope you have better weather than I had.

Not worth coming here unless you have absolutely nothing to do. There's a huge section of the river that is filthy dirty. Once you passed that it gets kind of nice as you see the pictures but Jeju is full of more beautiful things and I would concentrate on those things first.
