Positives:

  • Easy Access: Built-in paths from the parking area make entry simple without steep climbs.
  • Cultural Insight: Legend signage adds storytelling to your walk and deepens the experience.

Challenges:

  • Limited Seating: The pavilion has few benches; bring a portable stool if you plan to rest.
  • Slippery Surfaces: Wooden planks on the bridge get slick when wet; watch your step after rain.

Yongyeon Pond is a beautiful place to kick off our journey in Jeju. It’s a 20-minute walk from Dongmun Market, and so perfect for a leisurely stroll after lunch. We came here on a warm spring day, and the pond was so clean that you could see the bottom of it. You can also get on the suspension bridge and visit Yongduam while you’re here.

I was there probably right after the floods so the water was very dirty; however, its not a reason for the 4 stars. When I was there it didn't really give me the feeling of awe but you have to see it for yourself. I hope you have better weather than I had.

Not worth coming here unless you have absolutely nothing to do. There's a huge section of the river that is filthy dirty. Once you passed that it gets kind of nice as you see the pictures but Jeju is full of more beautiful things and I would concentrate on those things first.
