Positives:

  • Free and open access: All trails, parking and picnic facilities have no entry fee.
  • Sheltered resting spots: Covered BBQ areas offer quick shelter for feeding or changing your baby.

Challenges:

  • Uneven trails: Gravel and roots make most paths unsuitable for standard prams.
  • No dedicated baby-change facilities: Bring a portable change mat and plan for basic toilets only.

One of the best finds in Christchurch. Excellent facilities for both walkers and bikers here. Great bbq and picnic areas, heaps of open space to relax in. Lots of parking and dog friendly. Had a great time here, highly recommend. Many different options of tracks to walk from short to long.

The new kids street sign area and pump track is so great. Fantastic for beginners and family mountain biking. My daughter had a wee scrape and the folks at Cycling The Dream provided us with a bandage from their big first aid box, which was much appreciated.
