The street lets solo visitors roam, taste free samples, photograph Meiji-era façades, and book short craft workshops without coordination; clear English signs and safe sidewalks justify a high score.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Allows time to stroll the street, enter small shops and try local snacks at a relaxed pace.

This is the shopping street you absolutely should not miss when visiting Otaru. There are so many cute and unique shops, including Snoopy, Miffy Rabbit, LeTAO, Otaru Music Box, and many others. Parking is easy to find, with many lots available, and most charge a reasonable fee with a ...

Take your leisurely walk here and spend about 3hr or more visiting shops and trying the local food. There's a lot of things to look at. For some this will not be enough as most establishments close at 530pm

Many shops displaying glasswork, music boxes and popular characters like Snoopy and Miffy. It can be overwhelming. There are eateries, too, for rest and refreshments.

A must-go place when in Otaru. This street is way more interning than the more famous canal. There are plenty of interesting shops, for art, food, gifts etc. you can easily spend half a day here - walking from one end to another, then crossing the street for the return journey. There is parking nearby. Be prepared to spend and eat. Highly recommended. Will be back! Thumbs up!

Quaint and pretty shops decorate the street, some traditional while most have European vibes. Perhaps nex...
