Playgrounds, grass sledding, mini zoo, flower picking, and barbecue huts keep 4-12-year-olds busy, and child-seat toilets help parents, but open slopes and ferry boarding still demand close adult watch.
Why 3–4 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for flower fields, mini zoo, playground, and a casual meal without rushing children.
Mini Zoo Petting:
Feed goats and rabbits in the petting area.
Tip: Buy 100 yen feed tokens early to avoid queues at the counter.
Children’s Adventure Zone:
Climb rope bridges, slides, and frames in a secure play area.
Tip: Bring non-slip socks; play runs all day on soft mats.
Grass Sledding:
Slide down gentle grassy hills.
Tip: Rent a sled for 200 yen per child. Go early when grass is dry.
Nokonokoball Mini Golf:
Play 9-hole mini golf lined with flowers.
Tip: Reserve clubs at the office. Kids under 6 play free with adult.
Seasonal Flower Fields:
Walk through nanohana, sunflowers, or cosmos hills.
Tip: Stay for sunset photos over Hakata Bay; bring a small tripod.

Beautiful garden 🤍 So luckily we left at 17:28 and took the bus to ferry port, otherwise we couldn’t take 18:00 ferry. And the last bus is at 18:30 from island park to ferry port

Beautiful fields of flowers and many great photo opportunities to be had here. Many excellent viewpoints around the park as well, especially overlooking the sea. The ticket price is a bit steep at 1500 yen, but the overall experience makes up for it. There is a regular bus service to and fro from the Nkko Island ferry terminal.

Totally worth visiting! The ferry ride over was about 560 ¥ round trip. The bus ride was also about 560 ¥ round trip. Access fee is 1500 ¥. It was so beautiful and the flowers are so kawaii. The view of the ocean was nice. There are rabbits and goats on the island. You can pet the goats and feed the rabbits. They’re also super adorable and cute. 100% recommend you visit. :)

It was a great day at the park! Beautiful views and cute animals :) I would probably recommend going during Spring more, as, despite there being some flowers, the actual flower fields weren’t in bloom. So, a visit during late August may not be 100% be worth the price. Still enjoyed my time there a lot!
