What makes it 79% Baby-Friendly: Wide pram-friendly paths and a baby-changing table support parents, but no dedicated nursing room and little weather shelter mean visits are best in mild, dry conditions.
Why 0.5-1 hour visit duration is ideal for with baby: A 30–60 minute visit allows time to explore the playground, café, and sensory garden without tiring the baby.
Push stroller along paved paths:
Smooth level paths circle the park.
Tip: Start at the main entrance and follow the loop to avoid backtracking.
Relax on the café veranda:
The sheltered terrace at People’s Park Café offers baby-friendly seating.
Tip: Ask staff for a corner table to feed or nap your baby in shade.
Use baby-changing facilities:
Clean public restrooms have a baby-changing table.
Tip: Bring your own change mat and visit before 16:30 when toilets close.
Explore the sensory garden:
The ‘Garden for the Blind’ uses scented plants and textured surfaces.
Tip: Let your baby touch leaves and smell flowers under supervision.
Enjoy a shaded picnic:
Picnic benches and lawns offer quiet spots beside the Victorian shelter.
Tip: Pack a blanket and snacks; shade is best in the late morning.

Very nice place ... Dun Laoghaire bay or harber area ... nice place to have a walk upto light house ... very clean area with fresh air from sea ... can have a coffee at small coffee stall ... nice place to visit with family and friends for evening and morning walk

The park is nice, the playground is good. But the park closes and doesn’t open until a random time each morning. The park often gets lots of rubbish in it, especially on weekend market days. The fountains probably need more regular cleaning as well. But when the park is good it is very good.

This is an amazing park and on Sundays they also have a farmers market. There are many nice people with their amazing dogs 🐕. I visit this market sometimes on Sundays and pet the amazing dogs 🐕. There is also a cafe in this garden/ park.

A beautiful park especially at night and when you have it all to yourself, of course in the day time you can enjoy the flowers, sea views and the weekend market, a super park with stunning surroundings, cheers

All a Town park needs to be: has 2 fountains, a playground, a toilet, a cafe, lovely old trees, view to the infinite sea, weekend events and markets. I love coming here. Small but local and with history.
Between March and October, the Sunday food & craft market runs from 10:00–16:00. Arrive before noon for fewer crowds and easy stroller access.
