Very good organized port with plenty of different methods to reach the city center, including the hop on hop off busses if you are visiting only for a day during a Mediterranean cruise.

A very nice harbour and a great walk all the way around. Always in the sun and a great choice of places to stop for food and refreshments.

A massive seaport where local ferries and cruise ships dock. Taxis are only permitted to be in a designated area. Place is clean and efficient.
Summer (May–Sept): pack swimwear and take an early evening boat tour when it’s cooler. Winter: fewer crowds but check boat and museum hours in advance.
