What makes it 69% Kids-Friendly: Kids enjoy the tunnel cable car and spotting landmarks, but parents must pay adult fares and watch steep drops; there are no play areas or child discounts.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for the cable car ride, a picnic, walking, and exploring the summit without rushing.
Cable Car Ride:

I absolutely love the walk, as exhausting as I got climbing, it's so worth it. The view is spectacular and you can stop along the way. I came to also see what birds I could find and was so pleased with the birds of pray I saw! I've done the walk a few times and most recently saw so many cats!

I would say Lycabettus Hill is the best viewing area in Athens, if you want to have the whole Athens in once. Highly recommend for sunset, but be early especially on the weekend because it fills up quit fast. You cannot miss this place 🌅 and the hike up is pretty short and easy, it’s the best way to go up and down!
Visit in spring or autumn for mild weather. In summer, arrive early morning or late afternoon to avoid heat; check for family-friendly evening concerts.
