Positives:

  • Scenic Rest Stops: Benches along the summit offer places to rest and feed your baby.
  • Grassy Play Area: The lawn beside the chapel lets your baby crawl or play safely.
  • Colorful Cable Car Tunnel: The lit tunnel ride captivates babies with changing lights.

Challenges:

  • No Changing Tables: Restrooms at the summit lack baby-changing facilities; plan ahead.
  • Stroller Access: Many stairs on the path and at stations; a baby carrier is easier to use.
  • Limited Shade: Few shaded spots on the summit; bring sun protection for your baby.

I absolutely love the walk, as exhausting as I got climbing, it's so worth it. The view is spectacular and you can stop along the way. I came to also see what birds I could find and was so pleased with the birds of pray I saw! I've done the walk a few times and most recently saw so many cats!

I would say Lycabettus Hill is the best viewing area in Athens, if you want to have the whole Athens in once. Highly recommend for sunset, but be early especially on the weekend because it fills up quit fast. You cannot miss this place 🌅 and the hike up is pretty short and easy, it’s the best way to go up and down!
