What makes it 78% Solo-Friendly: Solo visitors enjoy a large skate-bike park, tennis courts and jogging paths; basic untidy washrooms and limited after-dark security prevent a higher score.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Allows time to skate, bike the pump track, and jog the paths without rushing.
Skate-or-Roll Practice:
Learn lines in the 3,000 m² skate bowl with beginner and advanced zones.
Tip: Wear a helmet and pads; visit after 6 pm for cooler temps and lit bowls until 10 pm.
Bike Pump-Track Workout:
Ride laps on the asphalt pump track to build balance and speed.
Tip: Check the surface is dry after rain; use a mountain or BMX bike for best grip.
Path Jog or Cycle:
Follow paved loops through tree-lined sections and around flower beds.
Tip: Bring a folding bike or good running shoes; extend your route into nearby neighbourhood streets.
Solo Tennis Drills:
Hit against the court fence or rally if no one is waiting.
Tip: Book a Park Use Permit online (approx CAD 20/hour) to secure a court slot on weekends.

Nice fields.. but they need bathrooms closer to the fields. The outhouse were dirty and didn't have hand sanitizer. Parking lot is tiny and tight spaces too

Wonderful weekend visit to Topaz Park and the Highland Celtic Festival! It was a great sunny and windy weekend. Entertainment all around. Haggis by the cup and the very merry Pipes and Drums

Great park for breaking out the scooter, bikes and other wheelie devices. There’s 4 distinct areas- playground, adult exercise equipment area, the bike & scooter track and a sweet skateboard park. It’ll be an awesome summer time spot for the kids and teens. Didn’t see anything in the way of tents, needles etc so it struck me as very safe. I’m told you want to avoid the washrooms though!
After heavy rain, paths and the pump track can be slippery. In winter, bring waterproof shoes and check lighting hours before dusk.
