What makes it 57% Baby-Friendly: Babies can ride in strollers on paved loops and relax on lawns, yet no change tables, no nursing rooms and noisy sport zones limit comfort for caregivers.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Short strolls and playground breaks suit a baby’s routine without overtiring them.
Stroller-Friendly Garden Walks:
Follow the paved paths through tree-lined areas and flower beds.
Tip: Stay on paved loops to avoid muddy patches and ensure a smooth ride.
Playground Observation:
Watch older kids play from nearby benches.
Tip: Bring a baby carrier or be ready to hold your baby; equipment is too big for toddlers.
Shaded Snack Breaks:
Relax under mature trees on grassy spots.
Tip: Spread a blanket near benches for feeding or diaper changes in the shade.
Use Public Washrooms:
Two restrooms at Glasgow Ave and Blanshard St open dawn to dusk.
Tip: Carry a portable changing mat and hand sanitizer; check cleanliness before use.

Nice fields.. but they need bathrooms closer to the fields. The outhouse were dirty and didn't have hand sanitizer. Parking lot is tiny and tight spaces too

Wonderful weekend visit to Topaz Park and the Highland Celtic Festival! It was a great sunny and windy weekend. Entertainment all around. Haggis by the cup and the very merry Pipes and Drums

Great park for breaking out the scooter, bikes and other wheelie devices. There’s 4 distinct areas- playground, adult exercise equipment area, the bike & scooter track and a sweet skateboard park. It’ll be an awesome summer time spot for the kids and teens. Didn’t see anything in the way of tents, needles etc so it struck me as very safe. I’m told you want to avoid the washrooms though!
In summer, attach a sunshade to the stroller and check for the seasonal misting station. In fall and winter, paths may get muddy—use waterproof stroller wheels and dress your baby in layers.
