What makes it 65% Baby-Friendly: Smooth paths suit strollers and shaded benches aid feeding breaks, yet there are no on-site nursing rooms or diaper stations, so caregivers must walk to nearby campus buildings for those needs.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to cover stroller-friendly loops, shaded bench breaks, and pond-side rest at a relaxed pace.
Stroller-friendly loops:
Wide, smooth paths circle three ponds, perfect for pushing a stroller.
Tip: Plan short 10–15-minute loops between benches for snack or nap breaks.
Bench-shaded rest stops:
Benches under dense shrubs offer shade for feeding or napping.
Tip: Hop to a new bench every 20 minutes to keep baby comfortable.
Pondside baby-watch:
A quiet spot by the pond lets baby enjoy water sounds and bird calls.
Tip: Lay a small mat on grass near the water and stay close for safety.
Bloom photo moments:
Tall rhododendrons provide colorful backdrops for family photos.
Tip: Use early morning light to capture soft colors and avoid harsh shadows.

This place is amazing - so quiet and peaceful. The plantings are almost the opposite of Butchard - greens of all types vs flowers. When we went there were very few other visitors. Very nice for us but I hope that doesn't signify a lack of interest. Right now, the gardens are well maintained with excellent paths and occasional maps (essential as any useful landmarks are hidden by the greenery)

Nice green garden. Free entrance fee. Unfortunately when I visited, the person was smoking weed:( hope to be smoke free.
Visit mid-April to mid-May for peak rhododendron blooms. In summer, shaded benches cool the garden. Paths remain open year-round, though winter winds can be brisk.
