This lovely park is centrally located right next to City Hall, making it an easy stop while exploring the area. Open park with nothing in it but a splash park for kids, a historic wall, and some benches. Underwhelming for me personally but I appreciate the cleanliness, beauty, and history.

It is a nice park with view over the parliament. It is nice place to stroll and the fortifications & cannon make you feel somewhat like Europe. Not a must see Quebec City sight, but if you have a spare hour it is worth spending it in Esplanade Park.
In summer, pack swimwear and towels for the splash pad. In winter, dress in layers and bring skates or rent nearby. Verify Plein Art fair dates in late August.
