Open park with nothing in it but a splash park for kids, a historic wall, and some benches. Underwhelming for me personally but I appreciate the cleanliness, beauty, and history.

It is a nice park with view over the parliament. It is nice place to stroll and the fortifications & cannon make you feel somewhat like Europe. Not a must see Quebec City sight, but if you have a spare hour it is worth spending it in Esplanade Park.

Late August hosts the Plein Art fair. From June to early September, pack swimwear for the splash pad. In winter (Dec–Mar), skate on the rink—always check daily opening times.
