What makes it 66% Baby-Friendly: Smooth stroller paths and shady lawns suit naps, but washrooms lack baby-change tables and splash pad or rink are not age-fit, so bring a portable pad and plan short visits.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a leisurely stroll, picnic breaks, and photo stops without rushing a baby.
Picnic on the lawns:
Spread a blanket on the grassy area near St. Louis Gate for a shaded rest.
Tip: Choose a spot under maple trees for natural sun protection.
Stroller-friendly rampart walk:
Follow the smooth paved loop along the city walls for river and old-town views.
Tip: Walk clockwise to avoid peak crowds at popular viewpoints.
Refill at drinking fountain:
Use the year-round fountain near the playground area to fill bottles.
Tip: Carry a reusable bottle to stay hydrated and save time.
Relax on park benches:
Sit on benches under trees near the entrance when baby needs a break.
Tip: Check for sunny spots in cooler months to stay warm.

This lovely park is centrally located right next to City Hall, making it an easy stop while exploring the area. Open park with nothing in it but a splash park for kids, a historic wall, and some benches. Underwhelming for me personally but I appreciate the cleanliness, beauty, and history.

It is a nice park with view over the parliament. It is nice place to stroll and the fortifications & cannon make you feel somewhat like Europe. Not a must see Quebec City sight, but if you have a spare hour it is worth spending it in Esplanade Park.
May–Oct: paths stay dry but watch for hot midday sun; winter: bring warm layers and check for ice; spring/fall: enjoy cooler mornings and changing leaves.
