A great park for walking or cycling, with well-kept greenery, benches, and scenic bridges perfect for photos. You can walk all along the water. From the inner city, you can take the river route on horseback and enjoy amazing views along the way.

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet park. We pass this park when walking to the train station from the city centre, and it’s such a nice walk, the distance feels shorter. There always seems to be a light breeze and with the grass really green and the sky so blue, the shade from the trees, it really is such a nice respite from the bustle of the city. A few people sit around and relax near the water.

When is the best time to visit King Albert I Park (Bruges, Belgium)?

Visit in early May for the Meifoor carnival rides. In summer, check the park’s food-truck schedule for kid-friendly snacks. From late November to early January, try ice skating and walk through the free light art installations.
