What makes it 61% Baby-Friendly: Wide even paths ease stroller use and paid underground toilets include a baby-changing table, though there is no indoor nursing room, limited weather shelter and event noise may disturb infants.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Gives time for a relaxed stroller walk, seat breaks and water-feature views without over-tiring the baby.
Stroller-friendly path stroll:
Walk on the wide granite path that winds past two water features.
Tip: Push your stroller at a steady pace to let your baby watch ripples and reflections.
Rest by the water:
Use the scattered green metal chairs near ponds for feeding or changing.
Tip: Arrive early to secure a shaded bench by the larger fountain.
Visit Meifoor Spring Fair:
Enjoy gentle carnival rides and game stalls in May.
Tip: Plan for shorter rides your baby can watch; buy tokens in advance to save time.
Explore Winter Glow lights:
Walk through interactive LED installations in late Nov to Jan.
Tip: Bundle your baby warmly and use the lights as a calming distraction during evening strolls.

Nice park closed to train station. Enjoy relaxed here before leaving Bruges.

A great park for walking or cycling, with well-kept greenery, benches, and scenic bridges perfect for photos. You can walk all along the water. From the inner city, you can take the river route on horseback and enjoy amazing views along the way.

Nice park with venues for food truck festivals

Quite and peaceful park in Bruges

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet park. We pass this park when walking to the train station from the city centre, and it’s such a nice walk, the distance feels shorter. There always seems to be a light breeze and with the grass really green and the sky so blue, the shade from the trees, it really is such a nice respite from the bustle of the city. A few people sit around and relax near the water.
Early May hosts the Meifoor fair with child-friendly rides. Late Nov–Jan brings Winter Glow lights and an ice rink nearby. Summer weekends often feature food trucks—check local event listings.
