What makes it 79% Couple-Friendly: Romantic bridges, water views, Winter Glow rink and summer food events give varied shared moments; many benches offer quiet chats, but the park lacks on-site cafés or nightlife after dusk.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Allows time for a full loop, photos, and a break at the water features without rushing.
Stroll the rolling lawns:
Walk hand-in-hand along the park’s undulating granite paths.
Tip: Start at the south entrance for soft morning light on the fountains.
Pause at the water features:
Admire the modern fountains at each end of the park.
Tip: Visit at golden hour for warm reflections on the water.
Capture couple portraits:
Use arched bridges and green benches as photo backdrops.
Tip: Bring a small tripod or ask a passerby to snap your picture.
Picnic on the grass:
Pick a quiet spot on the open lawn for snacks.
Tip: Grab pastries and coffee from a nearby café before you enter.

Nice park closed to train station. Enjoy relaxed here before leaving Bruges.

A great park for walking or cycling, with well-kept greenery, benches, and scenic bridges perfect for photos. You can walk all along the water. From the inner city, you can take the river route on horseback and enjoy amazing views along the way.

Nice park with venues for food truck festivals

Quite and peaceful park in Bruges

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet park. We pass this park when walking to the train station from the city centre, and it’s such a nice walk, the distance feels shorter. There always seems to be a light breeze and with the grass really green and the sky so blue, the shade from the trees, it really is such a nice respite from the bustle of the city. A few people sit around and relax near the water.
On Saturday mornings, browse the weekly flea market for vintage finds. In early May to June, join the Meifoor fair for rides and games. Late November to early January, skate on the Winter Glow rink and explore LED light art. In summer, check for food-truck gatherings and small festivals.
