If you’re ever in Sydney, whether it being your first time in Australia, do check this place out! The zoo is pretty big so you’ll probably spend a good amount of time here. The place is well maintained by the keepers and the animals are very well taken care of. Better yet, all the proceeds and money you’ll spend at the zoo whether it being the store or cafe, it all goes to the animals to help them...

Fantastic exhibits that respect the animals, with enough space and keepers that care. An amazing family experience, we spent the entire 7 hours at the zoo and the kids wanted more!! There are a variety of animal encounters, so recommend you book them online ...

There is a food court with few options and is always busy. Water fountains, lifts, escalators, nice walkways...

The Seal show is nice to sit and watch. Also the Bird show is great to attend. I had a great time and got an annual pass as I intend to visit more often. The tiger is very nice to see walking past you and only a glass wall ...
In summer, arrive at opening to beat the midday heat and refill at water stations. In winter, bring a windbreaker for harbour breezes. Check spring joey and pup zones for newborn animal sightings.
