Challenges:

  • Limited facilities: No potable water or shade on the island; bring all drinking water and sun cover.
  • Marine hazards: Box jellyfish and crocodile zones require vigilance; keep children within arm’s reach.

This is a great hike. Very challenging in the warmer months, with plenty of hills. Total elevation gain over the trail is 1500m. Well worth doing.

Best hike of my life! It was heavy but gorgeous, we did it in 3 days and 2 nights but wished we had longer. So many different sceneries in one hike. Bring light equipment. We took a lift with John from Absolute North Charters. John does his work with passion and was extremely helpful for us. The hike would have not be the same without John or the absolute north app.
