What makes it 65% Baby-Friendly: Ferries take prams and the resort pool, fish feeding and short Secret Garden walk suit infants, yet no nursing room, few change tables and hard-coral beaches make visits tiring for carers.
Why Half to one day visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time for short walks, beach play and boat tour at a relaxed pace.
Secret Garden Walk:
Easy rainforest trail through lush canopy.
Tip: Use a baby carrier; path is narrow and uneven in places.
Nudey Beach Walk:
15-minute track to white coral sands.
Tip: Bring a pop-up shade tent and reef shoes for baby’s feet.
Welcome Bay Beach Play:
Calm bay with shallow water for infant paddling.
Tip: Pack sunshade and keep reef shoes on to avoid coral cuts.
Fish Feeding at Jetty:
Free activity feeding tropical wrasse and parrotfish.
Tip: Seat baby in stroller at the jetty edge for safe close-up views.
Turtle Centre Talk:
30-minute indoor talk on turtle rescue and care.
Tip: Held daily at 10 am and 2 pm; baby can sit on your lap.
Glass-Bottom Boat:
See vibrant corals and marine life without snorkeling.
Tip: Book an early lap seat for baby and calmer waters.

Lots of dead coral around. There's a few spots as well as the jetty where you will find a lot of fish.

Amazing! The snorkeling 🤿 was beautiful. Not as "Reefey" as I hoped, but still magical! some nice shallow parts by the rocks to the left of nudey beach - Saw some turtles there!

Wonderful break away from mainstream worries. It's not a perfect Tropical Island Retreat but nice and laid back. Needs some tweaking like an ice machine and a wider range of food options. (2 burgers cost us $57) Staff are great. Snorkeling is good over the coral reefs. Only 40 minutes from Cairns. Bush walks are a bit more difficult than rated. Overall, good value stay
Visit April–October for mild, dry weather. November–March brings rain and marine stingers—wear protective swimwear and check daily conditions.
