Use picnic tables near the Waldock Street car park or at the summit to relax after your walk.
Tip: Pack a small blanket and locally made snacks for a cosy setting on the bench.
Panoramic photography & birdwatching:
Frame views over Tuggeranong and Woden Valleys from the ridge and spot magpies, raptors and kangaroos.
Tip: Bring binoculars for wildlife spotting and a wide-angle lens for sweeping landscapes.

Been hiking and running around here a few times on my holiday in Canberra. So many kangaroos, great views and an amazing hill if you like those things.

Good and easy walk, return trip is 4km from the entry on Sulwood Drive to the top of Mt Taylor. Plenty of car parking spots at the entry. Nice view along the track. Be aware that there is no toilet facility over there.
In spring, wildflowers line the trails. In summer, start before 9 am to avoid midday heat. In winter, layer up as the ridge can get windy. Autumn offers clear skies for sunset photography.
