Excellent small museum/gallery showcasing mainly collections relating to Canberra. We saw the Enrico Taglietti exhibition in July. Fascinating insight into part of Canberra’s architectural history.

Had a lovely experience. The staff were friendly and it was small so made it quicker to get around as opposed to the national galleries. Enjoyed the diverse range of art. From the Nolan collection (more of this at the National Gallery if you like it), to jewelry, and unique glass sculptures and modern works from Lindy Lee.

When is the best time to visit Canberra Museum & Gallery (Canberra, Australia)?

Galleries stay cool year-round. In summer bring a light blanket; in winter dress your baby in layers.
