What makes it 56% Baby-Friendly: Infants may attend events on a lap and parenting rooms exist, yet the 90-minute walking tour, loud crowd noise and required pram parking make visits tiring; confirm facilities before booking.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Attending an event or exploring baby facilities fits within a 2-3 hour window including breaks and feeding.
Attend a mid-week sports game:
Enjoy Canberra Capitals basketball or ice hockey with your baby on your lap.
Tip: Choose mid-week events for smaller crowds and easier parking.
Use the family change rooms:
Change and feed your baby in dedicated parenting rooms at the Visitor Centre.
Tip: Enter via Leverrier Street and follow signs or ask staff for directions.
Park your pram securely:
Leave your stroller in the Marathon Room pram parking during events.
Tip: Email ais.events@ausport.gov.au beforehand to confirm pram parking availability.

Great insight into Australia's premier sporting organisation. We did a tour with the AIS, Tim our tour guide who also is a Volleyball player was extremely knowledgeable and gave us an incredible tour. We would recommend the tour experience and of course Go Aussies.

The venue is ok but parking is more of a hassle than it needs to be. Let people park if they have tickets to the event that night and ensure police drop by during the event to ensure notices are issued if need be.

The Dynasty of Combat show was unforgettable and such a refreshing experience. Awesome to have MMA in our capital! Great venue 🙌

Great venue. The venue is a bit outdated due to it's age. The arena is currently closed for events due to upgrades and is expected to open next year. There is parking on site and reserved parking for accessible. There are accessible toilets in the venue. There is a cafe which you can grab quick snacks from.
In winter, bundle your baby for the walk from the car park to the heated arena. In summer, keep baby shaded outside until you enter the cool indoor concourse.
