Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (couple trip)

This is a really cute little wildlife sanctuary only a few minutes from Brisbane. As it's name suggests, there are koalas here, along with dingoes, Australian reptiles and amphibians, flying foxes, parrots, and platypuses to name a few. An amazing sanctuary featuring all the expected wildlife of Australia: koalas, kangaroo, emu, wombat, dingos, Tasmanian devil, fruit bats, various birds, and a platypus. Petted a kangaroo. It's a beautiful park and definitely a must see.

A very nice and well kept animal park. There are different areas and different shows for visitors to enjoy. Although we did not go to see any shows we enjoyed just roaming around, looking for the animals and briefly catching a baby Koala looking out its mother’s pouch. Been here a couple of times in my early days and remembering it was much more happening and fun then (OK that was like 20 years ago). Always a joy to be amongst the free roaming kangaroos and feeding them except when stepping on all the poop around the area. Seeing all the koalas get high was also comical. Amazing place to visit, allow 3+ hours. So great to see so many koalas and native Australian animals including wombats, Tasmanian devils, native birds, reptiles etc. The free range kangaroos, wallabies and emus section is excellent too.
