Van Mieu Hotel (with kids)

This hotel is good for a short stay. It's located centrally which is great for exploring. The bathroom is very small and the rooms can get quite hot. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Advertises a free breakfast which has been discontinued. The room didn't have heat and the balcony door had a gap making the room very cold during the winter. The water would not remain hot for the entire shower and the drain was clogged. The hotel had a water cooler but charged 3,000 won to refill a water bottle so it was cheaper to buy a disposable water bottle. I asked the hotel to mail my post...

Excellent hotel in between old Town and the museum it's in a friendly neighbourhood. Lots of well priced eateries right next door. Great underground parking to safely lock our bicycles, and the rooms are large, clean, and good value. 550k on booking. Polite and helpful staff, as well.

Hotel next to Van Mieu which is nice but the staff were rude, keycard not work sometimes, dirty bathroom, if you ask for extra pillow they will start question you like interrogation, breakfast was not it, food quality 3 out of 5. Amenities were not it, trust me the AC doesn’t work properly and bathroom doesn’t have anything except shampoo and toothbrush but no toothpaste make no sense

By far the worst hotel I have stayed at in Vietnam. The over the course of 3 days I switched rooms 3 times due to broken facilities (shower door wouldn't close and AC didn't work), insects/lizards in the rooms and the room being a complete mess upon entering for the first time. The beds were OK, the ac was both loud and weak and the location left alot to be desired (part of a building site, terrib...
