What makes it 58% Baby-Friendly: A stroller rolls easily on the paved terrace and toilets are free, yet no changing table, no nursing room, strong wind, and rough dirt trails make a visit only moderately convenient for babies.
Why 2–3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a stroller-friendly loop, rest breaks, and scenic photos without rushing.
Overlook Paved Loop Walk:
Walk the flat, paved circuit around Christmas Tree Point parking area.
Tip: Keep baby in stroller or carrier on the wide sidewalk for safety.
Use Self-Cleaning Restrooms:
Find two automated toilets at the south end of the lot.
Tip: Bring a portable changing pad; restrooms lack changing tables.
Carrier-Assisted Summit Peek:
Carry baby up the narrow trail to North Peak for higher views.
Tip: Use a secure carrier, move slowly, and skip if trail feels crowded.
Picnic with a View:
Eat snacks at picnic benches beside the overlook.
Tip: Pack water, soft foods, and wipes for quick clean-ups.

We were almost the only visitors this Saturday morning. There were plenty of parking spots available and calmingly quiet atmosphere. Despite… we were not particularly impressed. Maybe it was because of the fog and clouds and the fact that one cannot see absolutely anything. ;))

A great view of San Francisco - epically at night - picture perfect so to speak - a must visit location for awesome city views and pictures. Unfortunately it can be a bit of a party location and a bit on the messy side.

The interplay of light and shadow created intriguing visuals that invigorated my senses, making e...

We took the bus all the way almost to the top and went up top with the front trail. I wouldn't recommend this shortcut if you're not fit for hiking or not wearing trail/running shoes. The trail is pretty stiff, quite straight up, dry dirt and small rocks, it was short though, about 10 minutes straight up hill. The view was breathtaking, you could even see the golden gate bridge. There were 2 self-...

Must visit the place when you are nearby San Francisco. Very beautiful view of San Francisco. It is difficult to find parking. It is almost always windy so be prepared for it. If you have telescope than it is good to see long distance object and surrounding cities.
Mornings can be foggy in summer—wait until midday for clearer views. Wrap baby in layers and a windproof jacket year-round. Bring sun protection in summer and a rain cover in winter.
