What makes it 86% Couple-Friendly: CityWalk date spots, romantic dining, and shared VIP tours appeal to couples, but loud crowds reduce intimacy, so the resort is very good but not perfect.
Why 1–2 days visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Two days let you cover both parks and CityWalk at a relaxed pace.
Explore Universal CityWalk:
Stroll the free entertainment district outside the parks.
Tip: Catch live street performers and the spinning globe before park entry.
Ride the Hogwarts Express:
Experience a fully themed train journey between parks.
Tip: Buy a Park-to-Park ticket and board early to avoid long waits.
Dinner at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen:
Enjoy a steampunk-themed menu with craft cocktails and desserts.
Tip: Reserve an outdoor patio table for two in advance.
Duet karaoke at Rising Star:
Sing in a private booth at this CityWalk karaoke bar.
Tip: Book your slot early; song fees start at $15 per person.
Private VIP Experience:
Get personalized touring with front-of-line access.
Tip: Book online up to 30 days in advance; prices start at $300 per person.

Visited in July 2025 and had a fantastic time. Visited Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Epic Universe, and enjoyed all three parks. We stayed onsite at the Stella Nova (see separate review) and ate at several in-park restaurants (also reviewed). As an avid Harry Potter fan, each area of the park has attractions from Wizarding World. The other rides are just as fun.

* highly recommend downloading the universal app as the wait times and map are easy to navigate and great information to have on hand* ** I would also recommend purchasing lightning tickets for at least one day or if there is a credit card sign up where you get lightning tickets if you were preapproved would recommend doing that as well** We had a blast going to every ride. Every staff member we...

Epic universe was the favorite park for my group and I. We loved the large roller coasters, and many of the experiences. The Untrainable Dragon is a really cool show for all ages; our group of 5 adults enjoyed watching it. I was thrilled to find delicious and different vegan options easily at all three parks, thank you! The staff at the parks was also extremely helpful at directing me towards othe...

Universal has a way of making every visit feel special. The atmosphere,...
Visit February–April for Universal’s Mardi Gras festival with live music, themed dishes, and parades. In summer, arrive at park opening and choose indoor rides during peak heat.
