What makes it 61% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly pavements, shade and benches welcome infants, but restrooms lack diaper tables, no nursing room exists and concerts can get loud, so bring pad, blanket and leave if noise rises.
Why 1–2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a riverside stroll, shaded breaks, memorial visits, and a quick shelter setup without overtiring your baby.
Stroller-Friendly Paths:
Push along smooth, paved walkways by the Niagara River.
Tip: Stay on paved routes for easy movement and avoid stone-dust trails.
Shaded Benches & Green Space:
Relax on benches under mature trees for tummy time or naps.
Tip: Bring a small mat to lay under the bench for extra comfort.
Quiet Memorial Visits:
Walk with your baby to the Seabees and Marines memorials.
Tip: Read the plaque inscriptions at a slow pace to keep your baby calm.
Shelter Rental for Shade & Changing:
Rent a covered picnic shelter for feeding or diaper changes.
Tip: Call at least 10 days ahead to reserve; ask for non-resident rates.
Permanent Restrooms:
Use indoor restrooms with flush toilets and sinks.
Tip: Bring a portable changing pad—there are no diaper tables on site.

When I was a kid this was known as Fisherman’s park then it changed to Veterans park, I could find my dad here every day of the week fishing or just admiring the beauty and watching the mighty Niagara river…This park means so much to me seeing the names of all the veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice… What a well groomed and manicured park ❤️

We were on our way to Niagara Falls and I spotted a huge EGA and was like "whoa, what was that doing there", so I had to stop. The park itself was nice, but the Marine Corps portion of it was my favorite.

Beautiful and spacious area to get lost for the day by yourself or with your family. Restrooms available. Lovely area to go fishing. Lots of parking area. Lovely playground area for kids ages 2-14. Lots of shaded areas along with areas in the sun.

This is a really well kept little park, with a couple of pavilions (one nicely separated by an old slip and trees), a playground, an exercise round, and a small performance stage. It has a fishing walk on the slip, and plenty of covered space on the river proper, right off the parking area, making it easily accessible for those with mobility issues. While I have never attended, it seems like they...

The dock/boardwalk inlet area often clogs with debris espicially in the early spring. It tends to be taken outof service the fall of each year. I have seen people fishing here. No boat launch in this park (are oth...
In summer, arrive early to beat midday heat and use shaded benches. In spring, watch for wet spots on paths. In fall, enjoy colorful foliage along the river. In winter, dress warmly and check for icy patches on walkways.
