My husband and I visited this museum during our vacation in August. It’s a very laid out, information filled museum about the slaves and the Underground Railroad. We learned about history that we didn’t know about before. The staff were very polite and friendly. There is a fee for the museum, plenty of parking and a little gift shop too.

We arrived to the museum right when it was opening. We were early for their scheduled tours but Taj went ahead and accommodated us for a tour anyways. He did an excellent job explaining the displays and making conversations about them. This was an amazing addition to our trip. Highly recommend
Murals are visible year-round; bundle up for winter visits and wear sunscreen in summer. Check the Center’s website for seasonal events and any extended hours.
