What makes it 74% Solo-Friendly: Solo travelers with a dog get free 24-hour fenced runs, riverside path and friendly locals, but there is no shade, lighting or restroom so non-pet visitors soon run out of things to do.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Gives time for off-leash play and a short scenic trail walk along the gorge.
Off-Leash Play in Fenced Runs:
Let your dog run freely in separate small- and large-dog areas.
Tip: Bring a refillable water jug; the pump on the small-dog side can fail.
Trail Photography and Bird Watching:
Walk the nearby Artpark Gorge and River’s Edge trails for river views and wildlife.
Tip: Visit early morning for best light and active birds.
Socialize with Local Dog Owners:
Chat with regular visitors near benches to swap dog tips.
Tip: Carry treats to break the ice and start conversations.

Nice large park with some seating and running water; my largest concern was the absolute lack of shade. Lovely local folks take pride in the maintenance and cleanliness of the park, which is always lovely!

Nice play area for my dog. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful scenery. My dog, Teddy loves going to the dog park and he’s always worn out when we leave. Great place. ❤️🐶

I've been enjoying this wonderful dog park for a couple of weeks now, and I haven't had any negative experiences. They always provide waste bags and fresh water for the dogs, as well as plenty of balls and toys. The other visitors have all been very pleasant, which makes it even better.
