What makes it 58% Baby-Friendly: Parents with a stroller find smooth paths and shaded benches, yet no diaper station, nursing room, or indoor cover means changing or feeding a baby may be inconvenient and windy.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a stroller-friendly walk, bird feeding, and rest stops without tiring your baby.
Stroller-Friendly Stroll:
Follow the flat, ADA-compliant waterfront trail along the Niagara River.
Tip: Start at the main entrance for smooth pavement and nearby parking.
Shaded Rest Breaks:
Use picnic tables under trees or gazebos to nurse or change your baby.
Tip: Bring a portable changing pad and choose a spot with river views.
Bird Feeding at the Lagoon:
Feed ducks and songbirds at the shallow edges of the fishing lagoon.
Tip: Carry a small bag of bird seed or broken bread for quick feeding.
Hydrate with Water Fountain:
Use the free drinking fountain for water bottles and baby bottles.
Tip: Offer your baby a sip from a clean bottle and refill yours as needed.

Beautiful place to watch sunset or practice photography.

Nice place. Nothing for the kids except for the grass to run around. Kinda sketchy people around and bathroom was closed. All around decent place but bathrooms were closed and could use some cleaning.

Loved the park by the River. Peaceful sitting in the warm sun, watching the ice go by.

Very nice place right on the Niagara River. The last public land was set aside so the public would always have access to the river. Good view in both directions. The river is over a half mile wide at this point. You can rent bikes that you can take up-and-down the river. There is a green path all the way down to Niagara Falls state park.

We stopped here on our way out of Niagara Falls, looking for a clean, quieter place to have some lunch. We got the quiet, just not so much of the clean. Although the view from this point on the river is beautiful.
Visit in early morning summer months to avoid heat. In spring/fall, bring a light jacket near the windy river. Winter paths may ice over; check conditions before you go.
