What makes it 56% Baby-Friendly: Smooth stroller-friendly pavement and shady grass allow easy walks with an infant, yet lack of confirmed changing tables, nursing rooms, and closed winter restrooms reduce comfort.
Why 2–3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a relaxed stroller stroll, picnic breaks, and quiet moments on the docks without rushing baby.
Stroller-friendly riverside stroll:
Follow the smooth, ADA-compliant trail along the Niagara River.
Tip: Bring sunhat and water; trail is flat and even for easy pushing.
Shaded picnic under big trees:
Use picnic tables or spread a blanket in the tree canopy.
Tip: Pack a compact blanket and cooler; bring a portable canopy for extra shade.
Quiet bench breaks on fishing dock:
Sit on benches at the fishing docks to feed or soothe baby.
Tip: Visit midday for calmer water and soft lighting for photos.
Reserve pavilion for shade or nap:
Rent Shelter 1 or 2 for a private, covered spot.
Tip: Call Parks & Rec at least 10 days ahead; non-resident fee applies.

Good for boaters but the upkeep on any of the bathrooms is nonexistent. Even the portable ones are terrible. Kite festival 2025 didn’t even inspire a deep clean. Whoever is responsible for park maintenance needs to do their job. What a shame to represent your town this way

Gratwick Park is one of my happy places. Very peaceful other than the occasional cry of the gulls. Today watched ducks partying on ice flows headed towards the Falls. Much busier in the summer with free concerts and the boaters. Spectacular spot for July 4th fireworks in all directions. Pet friendly. Restrooms open seasonally.

If you enjoy time beside water while sitting on your car...this is a lovely place. You can also have a walk beside water but there not much option to do so. The breeze, wave, sight and sound of Niagara river crushing on stone/shore makes this amazing. There are shades too for enjoying time at this park.
Restrooms open June–September. Summer can be buggy; bring insect repellent. Fall foliage along the river is scenic. Winter trails may be icy—check conditions.
