What makes it 75% Kids-Friendly: Children get a small playground, a level 1.2-mi trail and shoreline fishing, yet parents must guard against open water, fast discs and the absence of lifeguards or ranger-led kids’ programs.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Gives families enough time to hike, play, picnic, and fish without tiring younger kids.
Yellow Trail Nature Walk:
Easy 1.2-mile wood-chip loop with creek and lake views.
Tip: Start at the nature center; bring water and let kids spot wildlife along the way.
Playground by Nature Center:
Small play area with age-appropriate equipment.
Tip: Combine with a visit to indoor exhibits if it rains or gets chilly.
Family Picnic by Main Lake:
Picnic tables around the lake; optional shelter rental.
Tip: Reserve a shelter ahead to secure shade and a dry spot for your food.
Intro to Disc Golf:
18-hole course suitable for older kids.
Tip: Bring your own discs; start on the easiest holes to build confidence.
Kids' Fishing Spotting:
Shallow lake edges perfect for catching sunfish.
Tip: Bring a valid NY fishing license for adults; pack small snacks for breaks.

Nice trails, good parking, beautiful scenery. I grew up coming here: sledding, tobogganing, ice skating and fishing. It was nice to come back!

This place is very confusing and not easy to navigate. The trail entrance is not clear and the area is very small. There is only a big lake near the main road (included in the photos and videos). There's also a shooting range nearby. The playground is under construction. In general, I didn't enjoy this place as I couldn't explore anything!

Bonds Lake offers a serene environment with excellent fishing opportunities. The lakeside trail is well-suited for families with strollers and leashed pets. Situated in Niagara County, this location provides a tranquil escape; however, please note that the park closes at dusk.

Dude, it's like a million degrees and you're melting on the couch, wishing for a breeze? Lucky for you, Bonds Lake is the place to be! They've got shade everywhere, plus Frisbee golf, pavilions, and tons of parking...and a lake! Get out there and enjoy some nature!

Very clean and quiet park with some good fishing. Enjoyed the entire day just relaxing in the peace and quiet!
In summer, bring bug spray and hats. In autumn, enjoy colorful leaves but watch for slippery trails. In winter, switch to cross-country skiing with warm layers. Spring brings muddy paths—waterproof boots help.
