The view was beautiful from the roof of the observatory. You can see the whole city of Los Angeles as well as the Hollywood sign on the mountain. There is a telescope structure that you can carry in with no charge. You can see the telescope inside, and the roof of that telescope structure can spin, so the telescope goes through the whole roof, which is really cool. I would suggest walking around...

Totally affordable and worth a visit. The views are fabulous but the live show and educational opportunities are spectacular. It was well worth waiting for parking. The presenter of the show was adorable. He appeared super dynamic in his story telling and passionate about his work, and I love it. So glad we went back when they were open. Our first attempt it was closed due to a concert.

There is a scenic drive on the up to the observatory and once there the views are spectacular, especially at sunset. There were lots of people there but moving around was easy.
