Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel (couple trip)

This was my second time staying at the hotel, and it was special, thanks to Robert and Chloe at the restaurant. I had a wonderful dining experience! Robert provided exceptional service during dinner – he was attentive and made the evening special. Great welcome at reception which set a lovely tone! Andrea was brilliant!! Sadly it went downhill from there with keys that didn't work, a bar that shut at 11pm (early for residents) and very dirty toilets. Check out was great so the team at the entrance get all the credit.

We stayed for the second time here recently and all I can say is, the staff are amazing!! The hotel itself is nice enough, no major complaints really. It is a bit dated in some parts and the rooms are quite basic compared to other hotels we have stayed in, but the rooms are comfortable enough and we both had a good nights sleep. I stayed at the hotel due to attending a conference at the venue. Had I not been attending the conference and it being convenient, I would likely choose an alternative hotel next time I stay in the area due to the basic room. That being said, I had a pleasant stay with a smooth and friendly check-in and check-out experience. The front of house, catering and security staff certainly make this hote...

Room a bit basic compared to some other Mecures I have stayed in. The food menu in the restaurant was lacking! Not a lot of choice but the salad I had was quite nice! The service was top notch though! Lewis in the restaurant/bar area was very helpful and gave a 5* service! All in all not a bad stay if you are only spending a day or two in Manchester.
