We were there in the afternoon, it might be more vibrant in the evening, we actually liked the place when it was quiet and less crowded.

Iconic location at the heart of Liverpool's music scene. Matthew Street is home to the original entrance to the Cavern Club, lively bars and pubs and some interesting exhibits. Statues of John Lennon and Villa Black, a wall of records and the bricks engraved with names of all the artists and groups to have performed here make this location a must see for music fans. There's quite a bit to read on ...

A cracking little bar, great atmosphere and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and courteous, live music which had the place bouncing. The bar exits on to Mathew street which is always busy.
