What makes it 50% Baby-Friendly: Pavement is flat for prams and the bench allows a quick feed, yet there are zero baby-change or nursing facilities on site and evening noise and smoke from nearby bars can distress infants.
Why 30–45 minutes visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time to stroll, rest on the bench, and make a quick nearby baby-care stop.
View the engraved bricks:
Walk the wall of 1,801 bricks listing every artist who played the Cavern Club.
Tip: Push the stroller along the pedestrian path and point out Beatles discs for a fun photo.
Rest on the built-in bench:
Use the music-themed bench integrated into the wall.
Tip: Sit here for a quick feed or nappy change; it’s at street level with space for a stroller.
Snap a photo with the Lennon statue:
Capture a family shot by the bronze John Lennon statue next to the wall.
Tip: Position your stroller beside the statue for a hands-free group photo.

Walking down Mathew Street and reading all the band names was really neat. What a great piece of history here.

We were there in the afternoon, it might be more vibrant in the evening, we actually liked the place when it was quiet and less crowded.

Iconic location at the heart of Liverpool's music scene. Matthew Street is home to the original entrance to the Cavern Club, lively bars and pubs and some interesting exhibits. Statues of John Lennon and Villa Black, a wall of records and the bricks engraved with names of all the artists and groups to have performed here make this location a must see for music fans. There's quite a bit to read on ...

I am honored to step into the Beatles hometown and the street where they start the band!

A cracking little bar, great atmosphere and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and courteous, live music which had the place bouncing. The bar exits on to Mathew street which is always busy.
In summer, visit before midday to avoid crowds; in wet months, the pavement can be slippery—bring a rain cover and wear grippy shoes.
