Tucked away on the Royal Mile, it has a charming, historic feel and is full of interesting artifacts that tell the story of the city. There’s a lot to see, from everyday objects to important historical pieces, but the highlight for me was definitely the silver collection. One of the staff members was kind enough to explain how...

Even free admission couldn’t make me give that place more than 2 stars. 🙄 The place itself is very boring after the National Museum but that’s not its biggest sin. What is? A centuries old urine stench throughout all the floors 🤮🤮🤮 We’ll probably it creates a medieval atmosphere but I didn’t enjoy it at all 😬🤦♀️

Beautiful place to go. The collection are all well picked. And it is not huge that you can travel in a comparatively short time but got great impressions from all the shown items there.
Verify opening hours during holidays like Christmas and Hogmanay on the museum’s website
