The castle was beautiful, but I must admit that visiting such places doesn’t appeal to me, as I’m not particularly drawn to history. However, those who appreciate it would certainly enjoy the experience. Tickets can be purchased online; I bought mine as part of a combined attractions pass.

Edinburgh Castle is huge. Lots of people, lots of photo opportunities and lots of hills, steps and walking. Take your time. If history is important to you, get an audio guide. If not, skip it. Be prepared to deal with crowds and waiting in line to see the Crown Jewels. Views are amazing. Get your camera ready…you will use it.

Great piece of history for Scotland and Edinburgh. Very historical and educational. Lots of museums to go through and see. Little cafe with a great view of princess street. Would recommend a visit.

It is very beautiful though and ...
