Babies face loud music, dense crowds and tropical heat; the market lacks nursing rooms, changing tables and stroller rental, so parents must rely on Esplanade Mall next door and bring full gear.
Note: The One Ratchada is 35% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Bangkok for a more suitable experience.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to browse stalls, sample food and use baby facilities next door without rushing.
Early stroll:
Walk the market from opening at 17:00 when it is less crowded.
Tip: Enter via Esplanade Mall and push the stroller on the level walkway.
Sample mild snacks:
Choose fruit smoothies, sweet pancakes or ice cream for the baby.
Tip: Buy from stalls near the main walkways to avoid jostling in narrow aisles.
Visit mall baby rooms:
Use the free nursing and diaper-changing rooms in Esplanade Mall.
Tip: Head to Level 2 Mini World or the Family Room near the MRT exit.
Enjoy street performances:
Catch musicians and dancers performing after 18:00.
Tip: Stand on the outer edge of the crowd so you can step back with the stroller.

Hello, friends, I'm a Korean who came to Thailand to play. When I go late in the evening, the stores are closed, so I have to go early. Even though I went late, they were selling juice, food, clothes, and other interesting things. It's worth visiting at least once. If you want to see my trip, come to Instagram. 📷:iiiminwooiii

A lot quieter than expected for a Saturday night even though it is end of season. Found a nice pool hall to escape the heat for an hour which was nice. Street food was OK.

We took a tuk tuk from Jodd Fairs thinking it will be better here but really surprised once we stepped in. Disappointed is understatement with only few shops open, and it's practically same as Jodd Fairs. Only one restaurant open and the food was also very disappointing compared to more selection at Jodd Fairs. The fish was very saltish. Really a waste of our time here 😭

However, it is a new market, so it has very few options. Just one solid big block with second hand goods, nail services, snacks and juices, clothings and accessories, and then done. It doesnt offer much. Good, still recommend but th...

However, we found a restaurant near the public area that serves an excellent Pad Thai. Although it only has a few reviews, don’t let that deter you—I was hesitant too, but after trying it, I can confidently say it deserves five stars! We also visited a restaurant that mentioned having...
