What makes it 57% Baby-Friendly: Babies enter free and changing tables exist, yet strollers are banned inside exhibitions and no dedicated nursing room is listed, so carers must carry the infant for the full visit.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Gives time to see the market hall, baby facilities, and a quick view of the ruins at a relaxed pace.
Self-Guided Ground Floor Tour:
Walk through the iron-and-glass market hall and open exhibition spaces.
Tip: Bring a stroller; ground floor is step-free and free entry.
View the 18th-Century Ruins:
Stand on the raised walkway to see the excavated streets below.
Tip: Use a front baby carrier; strollers are not allowed in the ruins area.
Use Baby Facilities:
Change diapers in adapted toilets and store strollers in free lockers.
Tip: Locate changing tables at building corners and secure your stroller before visiting exhibits.

One of the most historical places I’ve ever been to. If you’re looking for something unique, want to witness ancient Barcelona this is the spot!

We stumbled upon this amazing place while exploring the surrounding streets and so glad we went in. A spectacular old market building housing fascinating remains of old Barcelona. It's free to wander round the upper level overlooking the old streets and for an extra €3, you can view the exhibition of all the artefacts that were discovered during the dig. A really interesting place.

Very interesting exhibition about the history of the city, with panels, the entry is free to just see the ruins from the above corridors, but the archaeological exhibit and the guided tour are not always available, better check the times and availability if you want to visit.

A beautiful museum telling the story of ancient Barcelona with ancient ruins well preserved. There are detailed writings throughout the museum telling the history of ancient Barcelona. It is free entry but you can pay for guided tours. A nice visit if you are in Barcelona.
Visit on weekday mornings to avoid crowds. In summer, go early to beat the heat. In winter, mid-afternoon visits feel cozy under the hall’s heating.
