When is the best time to visit Naksan Park?

Spring blooms line the wall trail in April. Summer evenings get humid—carry water. Autumn offers crisp air and golden foliage on the hillside. In winter, dusk comes early—bundle up against cold winds.

How to Maximize Your Visit to Naksan Park

  1. Best Sunset Spot: Arrive 20 minutes before sunset at the western deck for unobstructed views.
  2. Combine Art & Views: After the park, head to Ihwa Mural Village for colorful photo ops.
  3. Light Supplies: Carry a small flashlight for return walk along the wall after dark.

Very pretty. Quite a hike on a hot day though but very pretty with a nice view of the city. I recommend walking up with the stairs first and walk down the long part like south to save energy

Aside from the free cardio uphill, you can also strength train with the free equipment at the park. Walk towards dongdaemun and you'll see Do Bong Soon's house near the book cat cafe

Climbing to Naksan can be quite a challenge for the senior but this place is a must visit. Its a great workout and the fresh air is very rewarding. Lovely cherry blossom trees and great view of seoul.

Not an easy climb but it's worth it!! I actually started from the 2nd observation square then walked my way down...great view of the city during sunset and into the night. So many different trails to walk around. There were a few resident cats in the area. Some cute cafes and restaurants on the way down to the city. And some provide outdoor seatings for you to enjoy the view.

Lovely spot with great views! Naksan Park is perfect for a peaceful walk, especially around sunset. The city views are amazing and the old fortress wall gives it a special charm. Not too crowded either – just the right vibe. Follow me on insta @roxana.iamandi.❤️
